The Take Up The Shield Project
is a collaboration among peace officers, pastors & citizens to equip law
enforcement
officers to fight not only the criminal element on the streets of America but
the spiritual spiritual battle that rages around us.
The goal of this project is to place a copy
of this inspiring book, Take Up the Shield, in the hands
of every peace officer to assist them in both
battles. We ask that you look at the project details within this website
and provide backup to some of America's Finest.

"I delivered the books to Sheriff Trowbridge at
the Madison County Sheriff's Department yesterday and he was very
excited and thankful for the books. He told me that he had 54
deputies and he would get the books in the hands of everyone that
wanted a copy. He told me before that he felt like he had some
deputies that needed to find God so maybe this can help. I just
want to say thanks again for allowing this to happen."

"I read Take Up the Shield in one sitting. It's solid biblically,
has great personal stories, and is a must-read for anyone in law enforcement
or for people who want to understand that they also put on a 'uniform' every
day." ~ Bill Fay, author of Share Jesus

Written by a street cop, this unique
publication compares the various pieces of law enforcement equipment to the
spiritual armor that the Bible describes in Ephesians chapter 6. Real-life law
enforcement stories drive home the importance of each piece of equipment.
Although much has been written about this
well known passage of Scripture, little has been written from the perspective of
a Christian who wears and uses the physical armor of the police officer every
day, fighting both the physical battle against crime in our society and the
spiritual battle against evil that all individuals are called to fight.
You don't have to be a cop or a Christian to
be encouraged and challenged by this book. In addition to building your faith,
this book will serve as a helpful introduction to the men and women who protect
you and your community. |
