June 15, 2007:  We welcome the State of California to our list of on going projects.  Look at this awesome testimony that came to us from Mississippi.

June 6, 2007:  We have been very busy with distributions while Mississippi & Arkansas have joined our efforts.  The death of Fort Smith Police Officer Daniel Martinez  has led to a dialogue about the project with a few officers in the area.  I met with an area pastor and Fort Smith Officer today.  They are launching an effort to purchase 500 books for every officer in the area. We will keep you posted.

April 1, 2007:  Fort Smith Police Officer Daniel Martinez was killed in the line of duty on March 23rd.  Tulsa Police Officer Steve Dickson went to high school with Danny and donated a case of books to several small Oklahoma departments where they grew up.

March 27, 2007:  It was another awesome day. The kids at Eagle Point Christian Academy donated 48 books to the Sapulpa Police Department.  The school had a ceremony which was attended by the local media and members of the Sapulpa Police Department.

March 22, 2007:  What an incredible blessing today was.  Myself and other team members were invited to the Tulsa Chapter of the International Fellowship of Christian Businessmen.  We can't thank this organization enough for letting us speak about this project.  Special thanks to Ted Robertson and Peter Enns for their invitation and support of the Take Up The Shield project.

March 16, 2007:  We have updated the agencies that have received Take Up The Shield.  Visit the Oklahoma & Alabama page for details.

February 23, 2007:
We would like to thank KFAQ Radio for their assistance with the project.  Click here to listen to an interview with Tulsa Police Captain Travis Yates and Pastor Dan Miller.

February 22, 2007:  The Sand Springs Newspaper covered the launch of the project.  You can see the story here.

February 21, 2007:
What another awesome day.  The Broken Arrow Police Department received 132 copies of Take Up The Shield.  This is the largest agency to receive Take Up The Shield to date.

February 20, 2007:
Today was exciting as the Sand Springs Police Department became the first agency to receive Take Up The Shield.  Thanks to Broadway Baptist, every officer has received the book.

February 19, 2007:  We are proud to launch the Take Up The Shield project this week.  We are scheduled to give the books to three law enforcement agencies in Oklahoma.

Written by a street cop, this unique publication compares the various pieces of law enforcement equipment to the spiritual armor that the Bible describes in Ephesians chapter 6. Real-life law enforcement stories drive home the importance of each piece of equipment.

You don't have to be a cop or a Christian to be encouraged and challenged by this book. In addition to building your faith, this book will serve as a helpful introduction to the men and women who protect you and your community.
